Who We Are

National Fatherhood Initiative® (NFI) is the nation's leading nonprofit on father inclusion. Founded in 1994, NFI is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to transforming communities by helping organizations intentionally and proactively include fathers. As the nation's leading nonprofit on father inclusion, we offer training, evidence-based programs, and research that strengthen families.

National Fatherhood Initiative helps organizations include fathers by providing four core offerings:

  • Training & Technical Assistance: Prepare staff at all levels to welcome and support fathers.

  • Fatherhood Programs & Resources: Ready-to-use curricula — including 24:7 Dad®, InsideOut Dad®, and additional evidence-based programs — alongside printed and digital materials.

  • Collaborative Initiatives: City- and state-level partnerships that expand father inclusion programs and scale community impact.

  • Research & Insight: Our flagship publications — Father Facts™ and The $154 Billion Man — deliver data and insights that advance father involvement, public awareness, and evidence-based policy advocacy.
