What is the InsideOut Dad® Program?
The nation’s only evidence-based fatherhood program designed specifically for incarcerated fathers.
InsideOut Dad® is the nation’s only evidence-based fatherhood program created specifically for incarcerated fathers. Used widely in federal, state, and local corrections and transitional facilities, it helps men build pro-fathering knowledge, attitudes, and skills.
The program addresses the unique challenges incarcerated fathers face by helping them strengthen bonds with their children while still incarcerated and preparing them for successful reentry. Research shows that inmates who stay connected with family are less likely to return to prison.
InsideOut Dad® includes 12 core sessions and 6 optional reentry sessions. Studies have demonstrated that this program effectively prepares men for life after release and may help reduce recidivism.
