InsideOut Dad® is the nation’s leading evidence-based fatherhood program designed specifically for incarcerated fathers. Used widely in federal, state, and local corrections and transitional facilities, it helps men build pro-fathering knowledge, attitudes, and skills.
The program addresses the unique challenges incarcerated fathers face by helping them strengthen bonds with their children while still incarcerated and preparing them for successful reentry. Research shows that incarcerated fathers who maintain family connections are significantly less likely to reoffend — making family engagement a key component of successful reentry.
InsideOut Dad® includes core curriculum sessions and optional reentry sessions — refer to the current curriculum guide for the latest session counts. Research has demonstrated that InsideOut Dad® effectively prepares men for life after release and helps reduce recidivism.
