What are the Stages of Father Inclusion?
The four stages of father inclusion — Aware, Prepare, Launch, and Maintain & Grow — help organizations identify where they currently stand and what steps to take next toward building father-inclusive programs and services.

We've identified four stages of father inclusion that apply to organizations serving families, regardless of where they are in their journey toward greater father engagement:
The Four Stages of Father Inclusion
- AWARE Stage: Staff becomes aware of the importance of father inclusion and begins exploring what it means to be a father-inclusive organization.
- PREPARE Stage: The staff recognizes the importance of father inclusion and is prepared to build capacity before launching a father-inclusive effort.
- LAUNCH Stage: Staff has built the necessary capacity and identified a specific father-inclusive effort, and is ready to launch — or is in the early stages of launching — that effort.
- MAINTAIN & GROW Stage: The staff has successfully launched a father-inclusive effort and is committed to maintaining it while continuing to grow and expand its impact.
