What is the 24:7 Dad® Key Behaviors Workshop?
The short-length and flexible fatherhood workshop you need!
The 24:7 Dad® Key Behaviors Workshop Facilitator’s Kit is a short-length, flexible fatherhood workshop designed to help fathers develop practical behaviors that support effective fathering. It is shorter than the standard 24:7 Dad® A.M. and P.M. programs and can be delivered in as little as one day (about 8 hours).
This workshop can be offered to any dad, whether or not they have completed other 24:7 Dad® curriculum, and is adaptable for group settings, one-on-one facilitation, or virtual delivery.
Purpose and Focus
This workshop introduces fathers to key behaviors that align with the five characteristics of a 24:7 Dad: Self-Awareness, Caring for Self, Fathering Skills, Parenting Skills, and Relationship Skills. It also includes two “bonus” behaviors that help dads strengthen how they apply what they learn.
The 12 Key Behaviors
Fathers participating in the workshop learn about twelve essential behaviors. These include working with accountability partners, reflecting weekly, caring for their physical and emotional health, developing skills for their role in the family, and modeling healthy masculinity. They also learn about healthy discipline, nurturing their children, strong communication with the mother and their kids, and building and maintaining a positive relationship with the mother. The workshop ends with two broader behaviors: paying it forward and engaging with the community.
